Daphne Marie is a mother, daughter,
entrepreneur, Personal Brand Stylist, and mentor. Daphne has an extensive work history in Sales &
Marketing, Administrative, Promotions, and Event Planning from her days in
Corporate America. She started modeling several years
ago. At that point she didn’t realize the impact that plus size women were
making on the world. People would also comment on how she held her own in the
photos with the “skinny models”. This encouraged her to continue to venture out
on her own with some modeling. After constantly receiving compliments on how
well her outfits were put together and people asking her for her assistance in
dressing them for events and photo shoots, her Image and Styling vision began.
As an image & fashion consultant
she takes pride in catering to not just her sense of style but the style of her
clients. Her styling motto is “You can still look hot even when your budget is
not?!” She loves to shop and put together unique looks for herself but even
more for her clients. She has been tagged as “The Image Creator” due to her
skills of helping people brand themselves through their daily appearance. Blendn’Trendz where
the motto is “What Success Really Looks Like” houses her image consulting and
styling.
As the founder of a multimedia service
company for the Plus community, she will continue to play an active part. PTM™
will provide avenues such as an online radio show, online & print magazine,
and online television show for plus size artists, authors, independent models,
business owners that cater to the plus community, and more. It will also serve
as a PR & Promotions company for clients. Plus Talk Media™ will be
the premiere media company for everything and everyone PLUS! Let’s TALK! Where
we are “Thick in the hips, even more in the lips.”
She has served on the National Board
for Mocha Sisters Organization as well as Project Curve Appeal. Both
organizations allowed her to mentor and inspire girls and other women.
“Image is important to me and I feel that the
business ventures and organizations that I have been involved with are the best
examples of Image for women.” says Daphne.
A stable foundation is something she
lives by. And that foundation begins at home. Without the support of family,
she would not be able to do the things that she does.
